Growing up in a place like Spring Green, Wisconsin, Sadie Malloy never thought that she would wind up a Hollywood starlet. The fifth child of Bill and Nora Malloy, Sadie's family would best be described as middle class. Her parents met in high school and were married after graduation. Bill started the police academy while Nora started nursing school. The first few years of their marriage were spent in a one bedroom trying to make ends meet. It wasn't long before the couple started their family and welcomed their first child Michael. Bill and Nora had always discussed adoption and decided that their second child would be adopted. They adopted their second child, Elijah, domestically. After two boys, Nora decided that she wanted a daughter. The couple went overseas for their next child. Lauren was born in South Korea but came to the Malloy's at five months old. A year after Lauren arrived, Nora found out that she was expecting again. Another boy, Lucas, was born. At that point, the couple thought that they were done having children. Four seemed like a good number to them and they couldn't fathom being a family of seven. But on April 22nd, 1987, Sadie Louise Malloy was born to the couple and she would be their last child. Sadie was spoiled and babied by her parents and older siblings. It wasn't unusual for the baby of the family to use her cuteness to her advantage and manipulate a situation. If she did something wrong, all she had to do was flash that adorable dimpled smile and say something cute.

Hamming it up was a big part of Sadie's childhood. She also loved to perform for her siblings and parents. Her stage was every inch of the Malloy household; the dinner table, her bedroom that she shared with her sister, or the backyard. When she wasn't acting, she was singing or dancing. She was a performer from a very young age and loved entertaining others. She also loved stealing the spotlight from her older siblings. Often times, her parents would have to pull her aside and bring her back down to earth. They would remind her that she couldn't always be the center of attention and that she had to share it. Sadie knew that it was wrong to want to be the center of attention and to always have eyes on her but she craved it. Her mother decided that it would help if they signed her up for classes. Sadie did every kind of performing arts class; dancing of all kinds and acting. She participated in local plays with a community theater group and found her second family. The people of the community theater took the young girl under their wing and taught her all that they knew about their craft. Sadie's parents thought that acting and performing was just an afterschool or weekend activity. It wasn't something that you made a career of. But Sadie wanted to be an actress and perform as a career. The little girl begged her parents to help her start acting professionally. Nora decided to attempt to help Sadie achieve her dream.

They started out small; local commercials that made her a local celebrity. Then she began to get national commercials which required for her to fly to New York City and Los Angeles to film. Sadie's agent began to her get auditions for feature films - one such project being Mrs. Doubtfire. Sadie wound up being cast as the youngest daughter of Robin Williams' character and spent three months shooting. Her father stayed in Wisconsin with her older siblings while her mother would accompany her to set and took on the role of her manager. After the film's success, the Malloy's decided to make a move to Los Angeles. Bill got a job with the LAPD and Nora decided to take off time from nursing to become Sadie's manager. The move from a place like Spring Green was eye opening to the family but they wanted to be supportive of her dreams. As the years went by, Sadie continued to act in films. In 1999, the family decided to move back to Spring Green and live a more normal life. Sadie had not attended regular school and Bill and Nora worried that she wasn't being properly socialized. So, at the age of twelve, Sadie Malloy retired from acting. She went on to do normal teenaged stuff; dating, cheerleading, and cramming for tests but acting was still first in her heart. No one was that surprised when she announced that she intended on moving back to Los Angeles after high school. She had never quite gotten over the acting bug and wanted to continue working.

The first year was difficult to say the least. She worked as a waitress to pay the bills and went on auditions during her time off. There were several times where she contemplated giving up and going home. But Sadie persevered and eventually she got her comeback role on the popular television series "Lost" as a supporting character. She packed her bags and went to Hawaii to film. As soon as she returned she continued to go on auditions and once again wound up cast - this time in a major motion picture. She was cast in Juno as the main character's best friend. The movie re-introduced her to audiences everywhere and she was back on the big screen. In 2010, Sadie decided to take another hiatus from the industry. She enrolled at UCLA and began majoring in acting the the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. Although she did not finish her degree (but still has plans on returning to school), she did two years at UCLA before deciding that she wanted to return to the industry. In 2013, she appeared in the remake of The Great Gatsby as Jordan Baker. Later that year, she made the decision to sign onto the second The Avengers film as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch. She would later appear in several of the series' films as the superheroine and is expected to return as Scarlet Witch in the third installment of The Avengers. She has made a name for herself for appearing in more action oriented films. In addition to playing Wanda, she had a role in the sequel to Mad Max as The Splendid Angharad and will also appear in The Magnificent Seven as the female lead later this year. When she isn't working in film or television, she has a very active life as a social activist. She's big into women's rights as well as animal activism and even appeared in the 2009 documentary The Cove. She is also a supporter of V-Day, an organization devoted to educating and bringing awareness to violence against girls and women.
